I got to help do a Bride themed photo shoot some were real brides and some were just models it was absolutely AMAZING and the girl who was ahead of it all and owned the studio *Tina Rodosta* taught me some tips and tricks. AS SOON as the pictures come out I will be sure to post them up ah I'm so excited I really can't tell yall how much fun I had. I didn't care that it was Sunday and that we worked from 10am till 7:30ish I WAY enjoyed it and the people. I even learned where to go and not go for all my bridal needs :)

Here's an old trick that's just arrived from the past!

Twelve years ago, when I started out in the industry, you had to repurpose things.... Yes, yes, you had to be a little bit ingenious to achieve your own effects, since the cosmetics market wasn't nearly as developed as it is now.

Remember that there were only a couple of types of mascara made by each brand, whereas now you can't even decide which one to choose.

There is one trick from back then that I keep on using at fashion events, and it never fails.

To thicken lashes so that it looks like you have twice as many, I first apply a coat of mascara. Then, before it dries, I use a wide eye shadow brush to apply loose powder over the lashes, and then I apply another coat of mascara.

The powder thickens the cream and you get a spectacular thickening effect.

Tip: Pass the wand both over and under your lashes.

Coastal Scents 120 Palette was used for this look as well as wet n wild gel liner in black elf contour blush and volume mascara with some falsies. I couldn't make it TOO dramatic because lol well I had to wear it to work so sorry it's a bit boring :)

Okay so I have a bad habit of not editing ANY of my photos so I realized in a lot of them I have red eyes or bad lighting I'm SO sorry I will DEFF try and start getting on top of that and correcting the errors:)

EYES

I applied a matte white from eye to brow the taped the side area of my eye for the straight edge then took a matte light brown and applied in the crease then a darker brown to the conner of eyes thick eyeliner on water line and top of lid smudge the bottom and took a small angled brush and applied a shimmery light brown under the black smudge liner.

Lips

I outlined them with a black eye liner pencil then filled in my lips with a BRIGHT red took a lip pencil and smudged them together and added a pinky red Nars lip gloss I believe the name of it is bedroom talk.

Hair

Well my hair had a ton og hairspray in it from how my hair was fixed earlier in the day to I took a hair clip and clipped just the back up and teased the front added a LITTLE more hairspray and BAM made it look like I just had a GREAT night of.....riding a rollar coaster in a very windy area :) get cha minds out the gutters ; )

This part includes: eyeliner,eyeshadows,nail polish and cuticle pen.

The eyeliners were creamy,glided on well and smudged very well* with the help of the smudge brush :)* The eyeshadows are small, but pigmented pretty well they are pretty shimmery. The nail polishes I will put to use tonight and let y'all know how that goes and well the cuticle pen I liked, but I think it's going to take sometime to see if it works well.

I will have to do swatches tonight and post them it's just difficult because like I said before my bf is slow at helping me upload them since it's his laptop and camera I use so sorry :( BUT I hope this helps some of y'all with your purchases with E.L.F. DEFF ask me questions if you have any.

LIPS and Randomness

Humm Lip products I orders Lip plumper lip glosses and then like a lip plumper and sheer stick,lip pencils,lip balm and some lip glosses.

So the first thing I decided to try on the way home in the car lol because I couldn't wait was the lip plumper and sheer stick WELL it's apparently in the flavor cinnamon and OUCH burned like hell hahaha I think it's something I'm going to have to try again because I wasn't expecting it to burn like it did* it only lasted like a min and then the burn was gone* The lip balm
"Therapeutic Conditioning Balm" in orange cream is AMAZING and SO smooth on your lips so I would highly recommend this product. Lip liners are creamy seem to glide on pretty well.The lip glosses are very nice the color is just DEFF off from the computer screen to when you receive them. The lip products had a lot more product for your buck.

The random products were eye makeup remover pads, nail polish remover and a double mirrior compact. I havent tried the makeup pads or nail polish remover pads YET, but I will tonight so I'll let everyone know how that goes and the mirrior was GREAT for a buck!. It has a normal side and then a magnified sidde which whew sometimes I hate that side of the mirrior lol.

Okay so I haven't really gotten to like DIGG into all my products because oh my LANTA I had SO much ANYWHO in this category is the face whip,coverstick,blushes,brushes,powder,shimmery bronzer powder and concealer. I actually LOVED the facial whips. I used the lightest color as a highlighter for my checks this morning and it blended VERY well. The cover sticks humm I tried a litte bit on my face and I would say they seem like a full coverage stick and were creamy. My brushes I LOVE as well, I ordered 12 of them and then the fan brush from the studio collection I think I was most excited about my brushes since I only had 5 from Sephora *they are deff still my babies though :)* and last but not least the concealer I used them this morning. I bought a pencil/brush concealer and then 4 liquid concealer I mixed them this morning and I think I'm deff going to have to buy more of the concealer sticks LOVE LOVE LOVED the concealer/brush stick. The powder and bronzer powders were very pretty. All in all I would say it's nice products, BUT it wasn't a lot of product in some of the stuff, Like some of the stuff seeed like sample like such as the cover sticks were small, the powders and bronzers seemed shallow so if you buy the product buy it in abundance. I really do like the face products though would just like more product :)

Take 1-2 asprin and smoosh them up maybe into a lid or something and then a few drops of visine . mix them up to make a paste like substance then apply to the area of the zit leave it on until it dries then wash off and tadamn! The visine takes away the redness and the apsrin helps stop the activity that is going on in the zit

I HIGHLY recommend Biotin. I have been using it for umm MAYBE 2-3 months and my hair has SERIOUSLY grown a good bit *I also used mane and tail as well though*. You can purchase it online at almost any vitamin store or your local drug stores for about $5. GREAT product if your hair is slow at growing or you just want it healthier. My hair was dead and just there from using extensions so much and now is a LOT better.

Hope this is helpful to the Rapunzel wannabes :)

Short summer dresses are my FAV you can always dress them up or down.
Studs are a MUST have to make something so sweet look sexy and fun.

Pearls with a mix of studs is a punk rock glamor, but alone is classy.

I just don't think you can go too wrong with this awesome skull ring it's a tad pricey though so a knockoff would DEFF do.

Red boots I think a pair of boots *because I lost ONE boot* will be my next buy of shoes .

Mohawks on chicks...hott...when worn like this or similar and the "Sunday Morning Church Hat" a punk rock glam must have * yes I own one in turquoise* ugh LOVE.

Nordstrom is changing the logo on their makeup, so they're selling everything for one dollar online. The make-up line E.L.F. (eyes-lips-face) has been bought out by Nordstrom and will be re-packaged with the Nordstrom name on it. They are getting rid of the entire make up in the ELF packaging. You do have to pay shipping. I have always had a love for makeup it completely gives you an opportunity to recreate yourself. Bright colors are DEFF my fav with a Barbie pink lipstick *what can I say*.
